Lucent is looking for a DevOps Engineer to join an established, growing company operating in an innovative technology sector. Working in an Agile team you will be involved in projects from the start working with architects contributing to design. You will be responsible for the deployment of code into production environments and supporting documentation, closely monitoring systems and identifying any issues and providing feedback to the development team. The DevOps Role
This is a varied role and your duties and responsibilities will include:
Setting up code repositories, pipelines and branching strategies for CI\CD
Creating environments using Infrastructure as Code
Working with the architects at project inception and contributing to design decisions
Creating secure and efficient cloud infrastructure solutions
Maintaining test environments
Creating documentation for the easier handover of code into production
Creating appropriate access controls and review steps for code deployment
Monitoring applications throughout their lifecycle
Continuously improving application security standards
The successful DevOps Engineer will have the following skills, experience and personal attributes:
An experienced DevOps Engineer with experience of highly resilient systems, you will be able to analyse business problems and design suitable technical solutions.
You will have experience with scripting including ARM Templates and Powershell
You will ideally be familiar with MS Azure and have CI/CD experience in Azure DevOps
Ideally, you’ll have a computer science degree or similar and any Azure or DevOps certifications would be a bonus, but these not required.
You should have excellent problem-solving skills, be a great communicator and be a team player as this is a very collaborative environment.
While remote work is the norm just now, in future, you will most likely join the team in the office one or two days per week, but you will be able to be more office-based if you like.
