Lucent is currently recruiting a Product Growth Lead to join an Edinburgh based mobile app business which already has hundreds of thousands of users. The company has received significant investment and is looking to make this key hire to drive customer acquisition and subscription growth.  Leading growth, your work will help shape the customer experience, so we are looking for someone passionate about their mission. You will be identifying the most significant areas of opportunity to create a successful initial experience for their customers from the first time they see an ad for the company or hear about it, to becoming a subscriber. Taking a highly data-driven and analytical approach to product development and growth, you will own the funnel and early-stage customer experience. Creating hypotheses based on your analysis and customer research, you will collaborate with the team to test, prove and execute on them. Ultimately your work will ensure they hit conversion targets at increasing scale.


In this varied role, you will be involved in:


  • Developing hypotheses based on analysis and designing and setting up a/b tests

  • Checking the analytics dashboard in Amplitude to review key metrics and a/b test results

  • Reporting to the team once a week on the results of a/b tests

  • Collaborating with the team to establish and agree on what new tests to run

  • Ensuring analytics are all in place for product changes

  • Liaising with the agency on paid advertising to agree on test strategy based on the latest results to boost the effectiveness of spend

  • Agreeing/revising our test and learn strategy to meet quarterly goals

  • Pulling together financial reports for the month on new subscribers, cost per subscriber and conversion rates

  • Liaising with designers to create new assets for paid advertising

  • Reviewing OKRs against the actual performance, reporting on the causes of the difference, and working with CEO to set targets for the following quarter


The successful Product Growth Lead will have the following experience:


  • You will have worked in product growth, and contributed to the growth of a subscription-based mobile or web app

  • Designing, running and reporting on a/b tests with proven results

  • Working with Amplitude or a similar product analytics tool

  • Manipulating sizeable raw data sets with R or similar

  • Making recommendations on customer acquisition, conversion, and growth strategies
