The Lucent Group are searching for Senior New Business Executive focused on the Financial Services sector to join a thriving mobile technology consultancy going through a period of expansion. Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, your goal will be to build upon existing success in financial services by entering new accounts and forging solid relationships with clients. You'll grow their sales pipeline for innovative mobile technologies within this sector; thus, you will preferably be based in London or within a commutable distance.

The Team


This Senior New Business Executive role sits within the commercial team, which comprises sales, marketing, presales and account management. With marketing also reporting to your manager, you'll have excellent sales support in this cohesive and collaborative team.


The Role


You'll be selling app development services to enterprise clients in the retail banking, payments, insurance, wealth and fintech sectors. This will involve engaging with key technology decision-makers at Board, C-Level, Director and Head-of Levels as you uncover and lead new business deals. Working to a seven-figure target, you will design and implement a strategic sales plan to expand the client base across the financial services vertical. Building relationships, identifying trends, leading bids, understanding your market and managing your pipeline will be some of the key responsibilities you have.


About You


Key Experience Required

  • Extensive new business sales experience as a Sales Manager, Sales Director or Senior Business Development Manager, consistently meeting or exceeding targets as an individual contributor.

  • You'll have sold enterprise software development consultancy or digital technology services to the Retail Banking, Payments, Wealth Management, Insurance or FinTech sectors.

  • Proven track-record driving of successfully driving the sales process from lead generation through to close.

  • Experience selling into high-end revenue and corporate accounts.

  • You'll be an excellent communicator, negotiator and influencer with strong interpersonal skills who builds lasting relationships.

  • You'll be effective in identifying trends and making recommendations based on your insights and the views of colleagues and contacts.

  • You'll be a hardworking, proactive, tenacious team player who approaches change with a positive outlook.

  • You'll have excellent commercial acumen and be able to plan growth and evaluate opportunities and their value strategically.

  • You'll be confident presenting sales, revenue and expense reports and realistic forecasts to the management team.
