We are pleased to announce the publication of our 2022 UK FinTech Sector Update. We have analysed 1,664 companies within the FinTech sector, the subsectors they are within, talent availability, funds raised regionally and have included an update on the sectors latest unicorns.
Highlights include:
31% of FinTechs are located outside London, yet these regional companies have received less than 11% of the raised funds.
36% are actively hiring at a time when competition for talent is at an all-time high. Additional research has shown that in the open banking sector, this was 57% in January 2022.
An additional 14 companies achieved unicorn status in 2021.
